We want to give you a couple of updates on the Campus and Community Development proposal. First, this proposal was approved with 100% affirmation from our membership. Thank you! Second, the City of Waco will be conducting a “Come-and-Go” meeting from 4pm to 6pm this Thursday, Dec. 5, at Fellowship. They will be providing more detailed updates on several projects planned along the Speegleville Corridor. This meeting will include overviews, visuals and exhibits for each project. City staff and engineers will also be available for questions and concerns.
Thank you again for your support of the Campus and Community Development Proposal. This will be an amazing opportunity to show the love of Christ by helping create a regional solution that will benefit Fellowship and our surrounding community. For more detailed information, visit Waco-Texas.com/Events-Activities/Public-Meeting.
The Student Ministry will hold a parent meeting tomorrow night, December 4, from 6:30-7:00 p.m., followed by a Parent Equipping Hour, “Navigating the Challenges of the Teenage Years”, led by Fellowship’s Drs. Leighton and Jenny Carl. This equipping hour is open to anyone involved in mentoring and discipling teens. Are you involved with a teenager in your daily life in any way? Perhaps you’re a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, coach, teacher or have some other regular influence in the life of a teen. If so, we’ve got a great program this week to better help and prepare you in mentoring and discipling your teens! Come hear about methods and resources we can all use to better open up conversations with our teens, so that they might struggle well with the temptations that will come, and cultivate a closer walk and dependence on the Lord through the process!
Yesterday, staff and volunteers decorated the church for Christmas and children received their costumes for our Christmas Eve service. Thank you to all our volunteers! We love celebrating the season of our Savior’s birth!
