Summer Bible Study Groups
Women's Summer Bible Study
Join the Fellowship Women's Ministry this summer for a 7-week study through the book Remember Your Joy: A Bible Study of Salvation Stories in the Old Testament, written by Courtney Doctor & Melissa Kruger. Women's groups will meet on Wednesday nights, from 6:00-7:30pm, beginning June 17. Each week, we’ll explore a different topic, facilitated by a rotating group of leaders. You can find the detailed schedule on our Women's Bible Study page. Participants will need to purchase their books before for the first class on June 17. You may purchase the book anywhere, but for your convenience both The Gospel Coalition and Amazon have the book for about $16. Childcare is available with registration. Men's Summer Bible Study
Join the Men’s Ministry for a summer Bible study in the book of Hebrews. Building upon the foundation and reality of Christ, we will examine how Hebrews weaves together the entirety of God's redemptive story. This summer, we will study how these ancient truths empower us to live out our faith boldly amidst the unique challenges of today's world. All men are welcome—bring your Bible and a heart ready to learn! The Men's Bible study groups will be meeting on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30pm, beginning June 17. There is no book required other than your Bible, and no cost for this study. Childcare is available with registration. Click the link below to register!
E3 Church-Wide Events
Sundays, June 28 & August 23 | 6:00-7:30pm
During our E3 events this summer, we desire to encourage, engage, and equip the body of Fellowship in the intentional areas of faith, fun, and fellowship. These events will bring the entire congregation, including children and students, together for one 40-minute session of encouragement and equipping, through engaging group-led exercises followed by a 40-minute session of Q&A for adults, with games and activities for the children, led by students and supervising adults. The desired outcome for E3 events is to provide a time of connection, which in turn will create a heart and culture of unity amongst the body at Fellowship.
Our first E3 Event of the summer, on Sunday, June 28, will feature the topic, "What is AI - The positives, the negatives, and can it benefit the church?" Artificial Intelligence is becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life, but what exactly is it, and how should Christians think about it? Join us for an engaging discussion as we explore this topic. Together, we'll examine the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, consider its ethical implications, and discuss practical ways it may support ministry, communication, and outreach. Whether you're excited about new technology, have concerns about its impact, or simply want to learn more, this meeting will provide a thoughtful and balanced conversation for everyone.

Summer Road Closure Information
June 3, 2026 Update from the City of Waco: Beginning Thursday, 06/04 at approximately 10:00am, we will begin shifting our traffic control to close Speegleville Rd between Village Center Blvd and Wheatland Dr to ALL traffic (see map, highlighted in red). This closure is expected to be in place until Monday, 06/08. The area highlighted in yellow will be accessible to local traffic from Oak Street; traffic can go around the barricade at Oak street. The area highlighted in green will be accessible to local traffic from HWY 84, vehicles will have to go around the barricade at the light.
Please be aware that ongoing road construction and periodic street closures around the church throughout the summer may require detours and additional travel time when attending services and events. We encourage everyone to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and check for updated traffic patterns before leaving for church services and activities. While these temporary inconveniences may affect normal routes, we appreciate your patience and flexibility as improvements are being made in our area. Thank you for continuing to faithfully gather with us this summer!
We will continue to post updates here and on our social media pages when the city of Waco informs us of location changes affecting traffic routes around the church.
The first of these road closures is anticipated to start near Sunny Lane beginning May 26, meaning Speegleville Road between US-84 and Wheatland Drive will be closed. If coming from US 84, you will need to take Bosque Lane to Oak Road to get to the Church.
Additional details provided by the City of Waco: Several closures are planned for the Speegleville Rd. Improvement Project while school is out of session for the summer. Closures will be located on Speegleville Rd. between Hwy 84 and the Middle Bosque Bridge, as well as portion of Oak Rd. and Bosque Ln. These closures will occur starting Tuesday, May 26, and will continue until approximately August 12. Most closures will be in place for approximately 2-5 days, with Closure D (see below) lasting approximately 10-15 days. Only one closure will be in place at a time!
As there are multiple closures and their timing is dependent on weather, coordination, etc. we are anticipating that the road will be closed to truck traffic for the duration of the summer, running from May 26 until August 12. There will be additional closures throughout this time that will be more impactful (i.e., routing all traffic away from Speegleville Rd. rather than just trucks) and we will communicate when these closures are anticipated as we approach them.
Below is a list and map of the closures that will take place starting May 26.
Closures include:
Speegleville Rd:
A - between Sunny Ln and the Fire Station
B - between Fire Station and Wheatland Dr
C - between Wheatland Dr and Village Center Blvd
D - intersection with Oak Rd
E - between Oak Rd and Canyon View Trail
F & G - between Canyon View Trail and Bridge
Oak Rd:
H & I – between Speegleville Rd and Bosque Ln
Bosque Ln
J – between Oak Rd and Wheatland Dr
If you have any questions, please call the church office (254-848-7200).
