“but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence” ~1 Peter 3:15
COVID 19 UPDATE: Our Live Wires group leaders are communicating with parents and kids using CCB. Parents, check your email for a special LiveWires lesson on Sundays and Wednesdays. We’ll be doing some “food for thought” and incorporating challenges for families to be able to do together at home. If you are the parent of a 5th or 6th grader and are not receiving these emails, please contact: email@example.com.
Who are We?
Live Wires is a ministry for 5th and 6th graders that gives a Biblical, foundational understanding of what, why and how to defend the gospel message. Our goal is for the Live Wires to learn how to use their Bibles and apply what they have learned in all areas of their lives.
10:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
On Sunday mornings, we take the Live Wires on a journey through the Bible so they can have an understanding of everything from Creation, the fall of Man, the journey of God’s chosen people, the life, death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, to what the the early church looked like.
For the spring of 2020, on Wednesdays, the Live Wires are learning how to go to the Bible and find scripture to help prepare them to live a life that honors God in all that they do. Some of the questions that we are tackling are:
- What does the Bible say about how to live a life of integrity?
- What does the Bible say about how to handle stress?
- What does the Bible say about being careful how we speak to others?
- What does the Bible say about self-image?
- What does the Bible say about the call to be different?
These are just a few of our topics.
