Dear Fellowship Bible Church Family,

Curtis Fahrlender guest speaker May 2025 (Presentation)

At Fellowship, shepherding God’s people well is one of our highest priorities. We are deeply grateful for the faithful leaders and pastors currently serving across our ministries, working with our youngest children to our most mature adults. As our church grows, we have recognized an increased need for an additional pastoral role for discipleship, biblical counseling and care, and marriage ministry to join our current leaders. We are delighted to announce that God has provided just such a servant!

You may recall God blessed us with a special weekend as Pastor Curtis Fahrlender and his family joined us this past May. His message from James 1:1–5 on how God uses our struggles to strengthen our faith and shape Christ-like character, as well as his inspiring and insightful seminar on the gospel’s perspective in the midst of suffering were powerful. Since that time, through much prayer and discussion, we have seen God’s hand at work in remarkable ways toward filling that pastoral role mentioned above.

It is with great joy we share Curtis Fahrlender has accepted the call to join our pastoral team as an Associate Pastor. Curtis brings with him a shepherd’s heart for investing in God’s people, a Doctor of Ministry degree in Biblical Counseling (as of December 2025), and years of proven experience that will strengthen and expand our overall ministry impact. This Christmas, Curtis, his wife Leah, and their children, Jackson and Tatum, will be moving to Texas from their church in Arizona where Curtis has served as Senior Pastor for the past five years.

From September 29 through October 5, the Fahrlender family will be with us in Waco as they explore schools and housing options. If you have not yet had the chance to meet them, opportunities on both Wednesday night, October 1, and at our worship services on October 5, will be available. We hope you will join us in welcoming this great family warmly into our Fellowship family.

Please join us in thanking God for His faithful provision for our church and in praying for Curtis, Leah, Jackson, and Tatum as they prepare for this transition. We eagerly look forward to the ways the Lord will use them in this new season of ministry together.

For His glory,

Grant for the Elder Team

P.S.:  Thank you also for praying as we continue our search for a Student Minister to join our team.
